1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BeTopTen's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Platform License

By creating an account on BeTopTen, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the platform for its intended purpose — booking and attending mentorship sessions, mock interviews, and related career development services.

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or redistribute any content from the platform without prior written consent
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any software powering the platform
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the platform or collect data from it
• Impersonate another user or provide false information during registration
• Share your account credentials with any third party

3. Services

BeTopTen provides access to mock interviews and mentorship services. We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue services at any time
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason
• Update pricing with reasonable notice

4. Third-Party Video Conferencing Services

Mentorship and mock interview sessions on BeTopTen are conducted via third-party video conferencing platforms, currently including Zoom and/or Google Meet. By booking a session, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You may be required to use Zoom, Google Meet, or another video conferencing tool to attend your session. The specific platform used will be indicated at the time of booking.
• Your use of these video conferencing platforms is subject to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. BeTopTen is not responsible for the functionality, availability, or data handling practices of these third-party platforms.
• BeTopTen does not record, monitor, or store any audio, video, or chat content from your sessions. Any recording done by either party during a session is their own responsibility and must comply with applicable laws and the consent of all participants.
• BeTopTen is not liable for any technical issues, disruptions, or failures originating from the third-party video conferencing platform during a session.
• Session links are generated automatically and are intended for use only by the booked mentor and mentee. Do not share session links with unauthorized individuals.

5. Mentor and Mentee Roles and Responsibilities

a) Mentors

Mentors on BeTopTen are independent professionals and are not employees, agents, or representatives of BeTopTen. They provide guidance, coaching, and feedback based on their own professional experience and expertise. BeTopTen facilitates the connection between mentors and mentees but does not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the advice, opinions, or recommendations provided by any mentor during a session.

Mentors are responsible for:

• Showing up on time for their booked sessions
• Providing honest and professional guidance
• Maintaining confidentiality of information shared by mentees during sessions
• Complying with all applicable laws and professional standards

b) Mentees

Mentees are responsible for:

• Showing up on time for their booked sessions
• Providing accurate information about their professional background and goals to enable effective mentoring
• Understanding that mentorship advice is guidance, not a guarantee of any specific career outcome such as job placement, promotion, or salary increase

c) No Guarantee of Outcomes

BeTopTen and its mentors do not guarantee any specific results, including but not limited to job offers, interview success, promotions, or salary changes. All services are advisory in nature.

6. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities under your account.

7. Payment Terms

• All session fees must be paid in advance at the time of booking through our secure payment system.
• Prices for services are listed on the platform and may be updated from time to time. Any price changes will apply to new bookings only and will not affect sessions already booked and paid for.
• Payments are processed by secure third-party payment processors. BeTopTen does not store your full payment card details.
• All prices displayed are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified.
• Applicable taxes, including GST, are included in or added to the listed price as required by law.

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

a) Cancellation by Mentee

• Sessions cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time are eligible for a full refund or credit.
• Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will forfeit the session fee. No refund will be provided.
• No-shows (failure to join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time) will forfeit the session fee.

b) Cancellation by Mentor

If a mentor cancels a session for any reason, the mentee will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule with the same or a different mentor at no additional cost.

c) Rescheduling

Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice, subject to the mentor's availability. Rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the session will be treated as a cancellation.

d) Technical Issues

If a session cannot be completed due to technical issues with the video conferencing platform that are outside the control of both parties, BeTopTen will offer a free reschedule of the session.

e) Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

9. Intellectual Property

The content on BeTopTen, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of BeTopTen and protected by copyright laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• BeTopTen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform or its services.
• BeTopTen shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from advice, opinions, or recommendations provided by mentors during sessions. Mentors operate as independent professionals.
• BeTopTen shall not be liable for any disruption, downtime, or technical failure of third-party services integrated with the platform, including video conferencing platforms and payment processors.
• BeTopTen's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to BeTopTen in the 3 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

11. Account Termination

a) By You

You may delete your account at any time through the platform settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

b) By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate any provision of these Terms
• You engage in abusive, fraudulent, or harmful behavior toward mentors, mentees, or BeTopTen staff
• You use the platform for purposes other than its intended use
• Your account has been inactive for more than 24 months

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination, except in cases of fraud, abuse, or legal obligation.

12. Disputes Between Users

BeTopTen acts as a platform connecting mentors and mentees. In the event of a dispute between a mentor and a mentee regarding a session, BeTopTen may, at its discretion, assist in resolving the matter. However, BeTopTen is not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes between users. If BeTopTen determines that a session was not delivered as described, it may issue a refund to the mentee at its sole discretion.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of BeTopTen's services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
